Tamar (17) is a young disciple in Mozambique. She has been a disciple for 2 years and serves in her church by teaching the younger children Bible stories and songs weekly. She has also been fruitful by sharing the gospel with friends at her high school and studying the Bible with them. A few of them have been baptized and are faithful to this today.
Her country is a developing nation, however, in the far north of the country where she lives in the port city of Nacala, career opportunities for women without higher education are quite limited. Tamar is blessed because both of her parents encourage her to continue her studies even though this is not traditional for most females who are the youngest of their families. In her culture, not many young girls get an opportunity to continue studying past high school. She has been an excellent student all her life and really enjoys learning.
Tamar has been accepted to the Catholic University in her city and plans to study accounting. After beginning college, there is a chance that she will be considered for a scholarship next year. She requests the assistance of for her first year of school. This amount would just about cover the tuition, supplies, transportation and other school expenses. She has until the end of April to pay her yearly tuition. She thanks everyone who even considers helping her in this endeavor.
Thanks to generous ETF donors,
this need has been met!
