Michael (85) and his wife Danawathi have been faithful disciples of the Ceylon Christian Church for more than 23 years.
Michael is not able to work now due to his poor health condition. His wife and his son both work to support the family but since those jobs are low paid jobs, they have been able to manage only their very basic needs with their earnings.
Due to Michael’s health condition, he stays home all day. Their house is in a bad condition and has a lot of repairs and also there is no proper ceiling which makes it very difficult to stay inside the house during the afternoons as the Asbestos sheet roof gets heated and releases the heat inside the building.
Sri Lanka’s current economic crisis has made it very difficult for families such as Michaels. They cannot afford to pay for ceiling right now even though it is an important need. They have kindly requested for financial support to fix their ceiling.

Shehan and Pavithra have been disciples at the Ceylon Christian Church for over 6 years. Shehan works as a manager in a cafe while his wife Pavithra is also employed as a marketing executive in a private organization. Their son Joshua (4) is currently attending pre-school.
Just like many of the other families in Sri Lanka that are struggling due to the recent declining economic situation in this country, Shehan and Pavithra too are finding it difficult to manage their finances.
They are requesting for assistance to support their house rent, grocery and utility bills especially due to the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka that has resulted in the heavily rising cost of living even for professional families. Andrew and his wife Esther have been faithful disciples of the Ceylon Christian Church for over a year. While Andrew is employed full time in an organization as a Quality Evaluator, his wife takes care of their 5 year old daughter Sofia’s needs.
They have been extremely disciplined in their financial management and have been an example by living within their means even during very difficult times.
The current economic situation is the country has made them stretch to the maximum and they are struggling to manage their basic expenses. Thereby they are reaching out for help to manage their food, medical and utility bills.

Lakshmi (a single Mother) has been a faithful disciple of the Ceylon Christian Church since 2019. She is a full time mother of her 3 children Chrishoni (15), Chrishon (12) and Nadeesha (4). She also takes care of her aged parents who live with her.
Currently she is financially supported by her Brother who is a three-wheeler driver, who is a daily wage earner and they struggle hard to meet their daily needs.
The current economic crisis of Sri Lanka has made things even worse for families such as Lakshmi’s as their income depends mainly on fuel to run the three-wheeler for hires. The current fuel shortage and limitations have crippled their source of income to a large extent.
During this very difficult situation, Lakshmi’s family has requested for financial support to meet their house rent, grocery bills, and also the medical needs of her aged parents who are currently living with them.
