The Middle East is a beautiful region rich in natural resources, history, and culture. Its significance to many has created unseemly never-ending wars and conflicts that have caused the displacement of over 20 million people. Research on the needs in the region show that nearly 35 million require daily humanitarian assistance. (Pew Research Center)

The hardships that follow from living in a conflict zone spare no one and many of our brothers and sisters in this area are in urgent need of our help. The financial instability that our spiritual family faces is grave. Toppled governments and civil unrest makes it nearly impossible to earn a living, especially when the valuation of your country's currency is on a steep decline.

Below are the present needs for 10 disciple families/individuals. As always, 100% of your contributions will go directly to assist our brothers and sisters. God bless!

Hello Brothers and Sisters.

This is Sylva. She lives in Beirut, Lebanon, and attends Lebanon Church of Christ. She was invited to study the bible and the lesson of the "Cross" made all the difference in her life. She got baptized on August 19th 2011. Since then Sylva showed nothing but a serving heart ready to be always available for the church no matter the challenges she was going through. Today she leads, with love and compassion, the pre-teens and the kids kingdom ministries.
Her dream is to live for Jesus and bring as many people as possible to Him.
She is a mother of two adorable children, and works as a math teacher. Over the years, Sylva and her family suffered from a financial crisis especially when her dad went through medical treatments in 2006 (cancer patient with diabetes). Being the only child of the family, it was truly hard on her and a big responsibility to be able to handle all the challenges. For the past two years, the economy in the country has become very difficult for all of them, especially that her husband was out of work because of COVID. She had to tutor privately in order to put food on the table and take care of her family as well as parents.
What she earned was used to pay bills and food but not mechanic bills for the car for several years. Therefore, her basic need is to fix her car since she works a long way from home and there is no proper transportation in our country. Finally, Sylva would like to thank you for your generous hearts.

This is Abeer from Egypt

Abeer is a dedicated wife and a mother of 2. She has been a disciple for 28 years, and has faithfully serving God’s kingdom. She is a hard worker and a loving sister who has impacted a lot of lives and served many. Abeer has always faced the trials and hardships in her life with hope in heart.

She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has to go through 3 months of chemo sessions since it is spreading beyond the ovaries, after which she will undergo surgery. Her immunity is dropping and relative medication, tests, and monitoring are urgently needed.

There is still a long way to go, but she is handling it with a lot of faith and acceptance.

Abeer and her daughter are the only providers for the family.

The Church of Christ financial committee sat with Abeer’s husband, Ramez, to lay down the needs and came up with a financial plan and an estimated figure that will cover the first chemo sessions and part of the operation fees. The total amount needed was around $10,000 to be divided equally between her husband, the local church in Cairo (which is over its budget) and the Middle East council.

Although every member of the church is helping, hospitalization and her treatment are very expensive and a lot remains to be done.

Your support is highly appreciated.

I would like to introduce you to Toros.
He lives in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. He was invited by his brother in law to study the bible in 2002. He still remembers this day that changed his life. He saw the truth, all his questions were answered, felt the amazing bond disciples have and wanted to be part of this family. On the 10th of March 2002, he got baptized and took the same decision as Joshua “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord”.
Till this day he serves in the church band, with all his heart, as the pianist.
He is the father of two and a devoted husband of Hasmik, also a faithful member of Lebanon Church of Christ who serves in the band as well.
Toros suffers from a huge dental issue and he is in great pain. Since he is the only provider for this family and due to the prevailing situation, he cannot afford to take care of this matter.
We appreciate if you can help him. Thank you and God bless you all.

Meet Nidal and Ivine.

These two strong soldiers of Jesus have 3 beautiful children. They all live in Aleppo, Syria.

Since the war started, they have done their best to replant the church that was persecuted and scattered by ISIS.

They have been part of the church since 2008, and till this day they have shown nothing but loyalty by giving all glory to God while facing discrimination and oppression.

This family is experiencing many difficulties. Living day by day, and counting on God's grace for provisions.

Life in Syria, especially the last decade, was extremely challenging. They need support with school tuition, house rental fees, medication and sometimes even food.

My name is Fadi. I’ve been married to Mariam for 8 years, and we’ve been disciples for 14 years.
We have two children, a boy and a girl: Basil (born 2015), and Jessica (born 2017). We live in south Amman, capital of Jordan, in a house that belongs to my father, and near my widowed mother in order to take care of her.
Currently, we are finding it difficult to enroll my children in school, because my daughter Jessica has been diagnosed with developmental delay (cognitive functions, attention disorder, and speech disability). We have recommendations to put her under excessive programs for special education, and speech and function therapy for 6 months. Jessica needs a specialized school for special education in kindergarten level, where the fees are extremely high. Same concerning the school fees for my son. We won’t be able to cover these due to the limited family income. Jessica needs a special school and therapy sessions.

Dear brothers and sisters

Meet Nadim from Lebanon, a faithful member of Lebanon Church of Christ. The story of Nadim reflects the amazing grace and outstanding ways of God. Nadim grew up in an orphanage and at the age of 28 he got married and had three beautiful boys.

Life in Lebanon can be very difficult, but right before hitting bottom God interfered. While working in an ice cream store, he ran into a friend from the orphanage, Georges, who happened to be a member of the Lebanon Church of Christ. Georges invited him to study the Bible and Nadim was baptized into Christ.

Today he and his family are struggling to pay even basic things like the water bill. Nadim and his family are asking for your help to pay for their children’s school tuition during this difficult time in their life.

We thank you for your generosity and love for the family.

I would like to introduce to you Norma, a faithful member of Lebanon Church of Christ since 2014. Norma was invited to attend a ceremony by her friend where she fell in love with Jesus. Throughout the years all members and ministers have experienced her love, devotion, and commitment for the body of Christ. She is always ready to serve and help others, giving all glory to God, despite her health condition.

Norma is 65 years old and has heart problems that have led her to have open-heart surgery, and develop other conditions.

It has been very hard for her for the past 4 years due to the prevailing economic situation in Lebanon.

She is a devoted mother of four children, three of which are still living with her. It has been very tough for the entire family since she was working as a part time babysitter; her husband works as a taxi driver and three of her children were unemployed for the past two years. They just started working in order to cover basic needs.

On Sunday the 18th of July while going back home after attending the church service, Norma tripped and fell down the stairs. She was admitted to the hospital due to the severe injuries in her face and body. She does not have insurance coverage and is in great need for your support and help so she could pay part of the hospital bill.

I thank you for your generous hearts.
