Alexis is Chilean and became a Christian in 1997 and his wife Meire became a Christian in 2000. They met at church, fell in love and got married in 2003.
They are great disciples in the ICOC São Paulo, South Zone Church and for the past 10 years they have served as leaders in the Kingdom Kids ministry. Alexis, 53, has been a tennis teacher for over 30 years and his wife has been working in the retail fitness and beachwear sales since 1995. They are hard workers and savvy entrepreneurs.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating to Brazil. There have been more that 2.4 million reported COVID cases in the country and nearly 88,000 have lost their life (as of July 2020). Understandably. many have suspended recreational activities and all of Alexis’ tennis lessons were canceled. As a result, the couple has been left without enough money to pay rent. Alexis, Meire, and their two children, Nicolas (13 years old) and Igor (11 years old), have received help with food and basic needs, but still lack the funds to pay for five months of owed rent. The family is requesting a donation of $1,000 to pay this debt and secure housing. We thank you in advance for any and all possible help.
