My name is Renel, and I have been a disciple for eight years. My wife and I have three children, and we find joy in serving in the children's ministry at our church here in Haiti. I work as a sports teacher, while my wife is a full-time homemaker, tending to our family's needs. We currently rent a small house, as we cannot afford to build one. However, a recent unfortunate incident occurred when our entire family was out—the ceiling of our house collapsed, damaging most of our belongings. Due to the debris scattered throughout our home, it is now unliveable. We had to find a temporary place to stay, and our kind neighbor took us in while we searched for a new home.
We are reaching out to ETF for financial assistance to help us secure a decent place to live. This unexpected disaster was not part of our planned expenses, and our limited savings are insufficient to cover even the initial fees required to reserve a new home. I am are grateful to God for His mercy in keeping us safe when it happened. However, it has been a traumatic experience for our children to witness the destruction, and we want to provide them with a stable and secure home.
