My name is María Magdalena, I am 38 years old and a single disciple from the Church of Monterrey, Mexico. When my mother gave birth, to me, I was involved in an accident – I almost fell off the bed and nearly landed in the wastebasket. In trying to save me, the nurse grabbed my left arm, injuring my arm and shoulder. Despite my parents taking me to the orthopaedist to have it set, the injury never fully healed as I grew older.
Aside from my physical condition, I have developed type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and eventually, cataracts. Unable to find a stable job due to my limitations, I sometimes make and sell piñatas to put food on the table and pay bills, but it's rarely enough. Thankfully, my father helps me with my bills using his pension. I live alone in my small, old house, and its dilapidated condition adds another layer of anxiety. The faulty drainage, unfinished floor, and collapsing roof threaten my safety and independence, especially when it rains and insects and mice invade. I am requesting assistance from ETF. Beyond needing medical care, I yearn for a haven, a home where I can feel safe. I hope you will consider my request, and I will always be grateful for your generosity.
