My name is Delia Guadalupe Zatarain Arias. I am 64 years old and have been a disciple of Christ for 20 years. Twelve years ago, I started using orthopedic devices and special shoes because of a physical condition in my legs that required me to go through several surgeries. A few years later, I was diagnosed with scoliosis, which meant that my spine was deformed in an S-shape. I had to wear an orthopedic device from chin to hip that limited my movements, caused sores on my waist, and had to use it for two years.
Recently, I was diagnosed with an infection in my pancreas known as Malta Fever. Now, I need to take pills every day and get a vaccine regularly. Due to my health condition, I had to leave my job and depend on my husband's work. However, now that my husband is retired, the pension he is receiving is not enough to cover our basic needs and my medication. My husband is 69 years old, and it's challenging for him to find a job because of his age. He is planning to work again so that he can provide for both of us. I am reaching out to ETF for financial assistance in covering my medical bills for the next few months.
