Clarita is from the Marrieds Ministry of ICOC Baguio. She is 65 years old and is living with her husband, Danny, also 65 years old. She retired from government service last June 2022 and has been a faithful disciple for 22 years (Danny is himself a retiree and has been a disciple for the past eight years). In January 2023, she was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage 4 carcinoma of unknown origins, manifested in cancerous tumors in the gastrointestinal area (specifically in the mesentery, peritoneum, and omentum). Since January, she has undergone many tests and procedures to help treat the cancer (including diagnostic surgery and 11 chemotherapy sessions), which have already amounted to more than Php 500,000 to date.
Thankfully, God provided her with her retirement benefit, which was used in the initial treatment of her illness. In the next 2-3 months, however, she still needs to undergo an additional chemo session, which will cost around Php 50,000 on average (including take-home medication), and a PET CT scan in Manila, which may amount to around P65,000. If the cancer will not be treated after the 12th chemo session, then she will undergo more treatment indefinitely. Unfortunately, her financial resources are already getting depleted because of the high cost of the treatment and procedures. She has three children (all faithful disciples) who have been helping her with her expenses, but their resources are also being used up.
In this light, we are humbly requesting your prayers for her complete healing as she undergoes the upcoming chemo cycles. Also, we thank your generous hearts for any financial help you can extend to aid with her treatments. Any amount you are willing and able to spare will be greatly valued and appreciated.
